K – Keeping sunglasses on inside
Why oh why do people do this? It’s not sunny inside; the lights aren’t that bright, people just want to look cool. This can be seen everywhere as soon as the sun comes out, be it on the tube or in shops. Granted you could say it’s easier to just leave your glasses on instead of taking them off to only put them back on, but you could just rest them on the top of your head or hang them on your t-shirt/top however when you’re sat on the tube in the dark of the tunnels or in the shade of a shop or café then why keep them on? Celebrities tend to use sunglasses, sometimes combined with a hat in an attempt to blend into the crowd so they can avoid the paparazzi but it tends to fail miserably as people who wear sunglasses inside stand out especially with their choice of eclectic hats. Perhaps people who do this just want to appear mysterious except they look more asinine than mysterious. A friend said that she doesn’t like it when people wear sunglasses in cold weather (as sunglasses are a summer item) and I can see her point but if the sun is shining then you tend to need sunglasses to help your sight and additionally protect your eyes from the sun’s glare and UV rays (something that I do myself because whether it’s hot or cold if the sun’s shining bright I’ll probably need my sunglasses). This can be seen on skiers, mountain climbers and Arctic explorers whose ocular attire are generally more functional that fashionable due to intense brightness because of their locations, although skiers/snowboarders mix the fashion and function options.
Exceptions where this faux pas is acceptable
If you’re on an open top bus, sitting outside at a café or sat in an open air restaurant, sat by a huge window in a restaurant and sat on a transport with huge windows letting all sunlight in that is above ground. No other exceptions.
