There are many glyph-like/pictogrammtic typefaces that exist already but aren't in popular use. They have been created in film which predominantly exist in the Science Fiction genre. As a big fan off Star Wars, I was reminded of a typeface that exists in the prequels, episode I-III, and decided to research this and its designer. Another example is the language featured in Predator with 'Ahnold' Schwarzenegger on the Predator's gauntlet, which seems somewhat numeric in its design.
Aurebesh typeface in Star Wars. Designed as an interplanetary typeface for the Star Wars Universe. Can't find any examples to show its use but its used in signage and computer displays within the film.

Based on Latin alphabet with Latin digraphs. In some cases Hindu-Arabic numerals are used.
As for Predator, its design is more numerical, using a series of strokes to represent each letter.
