Running shoes as casual attire

R – Running shoes as casual footwear
This is without a doubt one of the worst offenders and seems to be a trend of an entire nation, namely America. It is bad with regular clothing, yet when teamed with a suit it looks ghastly. Yes maybe you’re wearing them with a suit because they’re more comfortable for you to commute to and from work in but honestly it looks terrible and perhaps instead you should choose a more suitable, more comfortable formal shoe/work shoe if they aren’t particularly cosy. As for wearing them with regular clothing, the reason they look so bad is because running shoes are bulky and designed for function as a sport shoe rather than as a fashion item. The large size is down to their extra cushioning and thicker rubber soles to offer support and comfort when exercising. So when paired with jeans and a t-shirt (a timeless look), it ruins the entire outfit as these shoes look entirely out of place.
